Job Description: Team Leader - Mechanic

Position Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring maintenance activities are accomplished in a timely manner. The Team Leader will be involved in organizing and planning regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist hiring and training team members, including compliance with safety training, administer evaluations, enforce company policies, and manage work schedules.
- Manage the implementation and operation of an inventory and PM schedule.
- Schedule team members to fit work schedules.
- Supervise multiple shift operations of maintenance technicians, parts personnel, and maintenance crew leaders.
- Work closely with production Plant Leadership and other department heads to streamline production.
- Manage Maintenance Shop activities.
- Identify and recommend new equipment, perform installations, and re-layout production lines as needed.
- Responsible for managing and scheduling everyday work and attendance of maintenance team members.
- Establish and administer departmental policies, safety procedures, regulations, and SOPs.
- Identify areas of opportunity and implement safe, cost-effective solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of food manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends and extended time.
- Must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Must have excellent troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment, computer operations, and ability to motivate maintenance personnel under pressure.
