Responsibilities
- Electrical, PLC, Motors, Photo Eyes, HDMI, Welding, Pumps, Troubleshooting.
- Write Work Orders on Issues.
- Adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures at all times.
- Respond to radio calls in a timely manner.
- Assist with maintaining a smooth plant operation while working on maintenance projects and performing PM tasks.
- Recognize waste and recommend initiatives for elimination or reduction.
- Clean maintenance department work areas.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment scheduled through PMC.
- Write special or new Part Requests.
- Repair equipment scheduled through PMC.
- Familiarize yourself with searching parts in the PMC system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of plant equipment.
- Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HACCP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives.
- Follow attendance policies and exhibit dependable time habits.
- Develop and maintain a positive attitude and strong relationships with coworkers.
- Exhibit teamwork and a willingness to help others.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication skills with employees and managers.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English effectively.
