Overview:

FGF Brands is growing and we need more talented Mechanics to join our growing team.

As a team member, the Manufacturing Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs high-volume food manufacturing equipment. They prioritize personnel and food safety at all times.

• Starting Wage = $33.50/hour performance raises $1/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am.

Schedules Available:

• 1st Shift = Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm; 12 hour shifts on Saturdays & Sundays scheduled. Rotating schedule 2 on, 2 off, 7 on, 3 off.
• 2nd Shift = Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm; 12 hour shifts on Saturdays & Sundays scheduled. 2 on, 2 off, 7 on, 3 off.
• 3rd Shift = 11:00pm - 7:00am; 12 hour shifts on Saturdays &Sundays scheduled. 2 on, 1 off, 7 on, 4 off

Responsibilities:

• Respond and react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
• Write parts requests, complete work orders, and write corrective work orders
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Keep a clean work area.
• Perform building inspections and routines.
• Communicate with other team members.
• Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years work experience in a maintenance mechanic environment.
• Must have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have a basic understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and photoeyes / sensors, etc.
• Knowledge of conveyance a strong plus.
• Must be computer literate.
• Familiarity with CMMS work order systems.
• Food manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirements.
• Must have good attention to detail. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Should be able to understand blueprints and drawings.
• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts.
• Must be able to make decisions.
• Should have a working knowledge of the following:
• Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, Electricity.
• Must be able to work around very strong magnets.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
