As a Manufacturing Technician at FGF Brands, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing high-volume food manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for prioritizing personnel and food safety, ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines. Responsibilities:
- Respond and react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.
- Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- Write parts requests, complete work orders, and write corrective work orders.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Keep a clean work area.
- Perform building inspections and routines.
- Communicate with other team members.
- Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years work experience in a maintenance mechanic environment.
- Must have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have a basic understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and photoeyes / sensors, etc.
- Knowledge of conveyance a strong plus.
- Must be computer literate.
- Familiarity with CMMS work order systems.
- Food manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirements.
- Must have good attention to detail. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Should be able to understand blueprints and drawings.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts.
- Must be able to make decisions.
- Should have a working knowledge of the following: Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, Electricity.
- Must be able to work around very strong magnets.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
