Job Title:
Maintenance Team Leader
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at FGF. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe workplace and ensure maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing training, development, and coaching to enhance long-term performance
- Organize and plan regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant
- Review and rationalize preventive maintenance procedures, evaluating and maximizing maintenance efficiency in collaboration with support personnel and staff
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with hiring and training team members, ensuring compliance with safety training and enforcing company policies
- Administer evaluations and manage work schedules
- Manage the implementation and operation of an inventory and PM schedule
- Supervise multiple shift operations, including maintenance technicians, parts personnel, and maintenance crew leaders
- Work closely with production Plant Leadership and other department heads to streamline production
- Manage Maintenance Shop activities, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for new equipment installations and re-layout of production lines as needed
- Establish and administer departmental policies, safety procedures, regulations, and SOP's
- Establish priorities for the maintenance department, skills assessment, and training opportunities
- Lead the Maintenance team to meet or exceed regulatory or customer expectations in regards to food safety or quality
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of food manufacturing experience required
- Availability to work weekends and extended time
- Ability to supervise skilled workers and wide experience in plant operations
- Excellent troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment, computer operations, and ability to motivate maintenance personal under pressure
- Knowledge of industrial tools and test equipment
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekend, and overtime as needed
Compensation:
$36 per hour
