The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role provides essential support for accounting, project-related tasks, and general office operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full Accounts Payable functions, resolving documentation and payment issues with managers, vendors, and clients
- Record cash receipts and process electronic deposits
- Process employee expense reimbursements and company credit card transactions
- Set up and maintain client, vendor, and project data in Deltek accounting software
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting files, project folders, and tracking sheets
- Assist with preparation of monthly project billing and timely posting of consultant invoices
- Support annual processes such as issuing 1099 tax forms
- Request and track certificates of insurance
- File and archive permanent project and client records
- Provide general administrative assistance to the accounting team and leadership
- Assist with additional accounting duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree or higher (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in an accounting-related role
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry (preferred)
- Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision (a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Experience with job cost coding (a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
