About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Architect II who is ready to take on greater leadership within projects, contribute to design development, and play a key role in technical execution. This position is ideal for mid-career professionals with 5-12 years of experience who are looking to deepen their expertise, mentor junior staff, and lead aspects of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in project design, technical development, and documentation from concept through construction
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and technical details
- Serve as a key contact for clients, consultants, and project teams, ensuring seamless collaboration
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior designers and architects
- Lead code analysis and compliance reviews, ensuring high standards in all project phases
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and quality control efforts
- Represent FGMA in client presentations, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts, contributing to firm-wide best practices and standards
Qualifications & Skills
- 5-12 years of experience in an architectural firm, with increasing project responsibilities
- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
- Proven experience with project coordination, consultant management, and technical documentation
- Expertise in Revit Architecture, with strong experience in construction documentation
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design challenges
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Effective team leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
- LEED accreditation (preferred)
- Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure (strongly preferred)
