FGMA is seeking a Project Manager for our Federal Practice. Candidates should be eager to take on the following responsibilities and possess the skills and credentials listed below:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all project efforts, contractual, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution to meet the project’s goals and objectives
- Develops and understands contractual responsibilities
- Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and internal and external (i.e. consultants) project team assignments
- Serves as primary day-to-day contact with clients to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction
- Assists and participates in actively marketing the firm through responses to RFQs and RFPs and interviews
Skills and Credentials:
- 10 years of experience
- Experience in the Federal Market including managing projects for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, and various Government agencies
- Familiarity with evaluating Government/Federal Request for Proposals
- Familiarity with USACE, NAVFAC and various Government Agencies project standards
- Client-focused, well-organized and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
- LEED accreditation preferred
- Architectural licensure required

Responsibilities:
- Working with the project’s Design and Technical Leads, assists in developing the design, implementing the building program, and preparing project documentation appropriate to each phase
- Prepares presentation materials to communicate design ideas to the client
- Researches manufacturers’ materials and systems
- Understands the technical implications of design decisions and contributes to the development and documentation of practical, buildable details
- Represents the firm well in project meetings and industry events and begins to build a professional network of clients, consultants, and peers
Skills and Credentials:
- 2 – 10 years of experience
- Dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented
- Well-organized and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills and a solid conceptual design aptitude
- Very proficient in Revit Architecture with experience in both preliminary design and construction drawings documentation
- Knowledge of 3-D modeling and rendering in 3-D modeling software
- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
- LEED accreditation preferred
- Architectural licensure preferred; candidates on the licensure track will also be considered
