Candidates interested in corporate communications across a variety of sectors including finance, technology, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, and health care are encouraged to apply for a position in FGS Global’s Chicago office. As one of America’s largest cities, Chicagoland is home to many Fortune 500 companies, emerging startups and other established businesses. The city is also a key political player in national and regional politics having hosted the 2024 Democratic National Convention.
Our Chicago office is seeking highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented candidates for a full-time summer internship. As an intern in our office, you will have the opportunity to work on FGS’s global roster of clients across strategic, corporate and financial communications engagement, and gain hands-on experience working alongside our teams of dedicated and creative communications professionals.
Please note that intern positions for our other US offices will be posted separately.
This is a 10-week paid internship ($20.00 hour) beginning on June 2nd and ending August 8th that will require you to work in-person in the firm’s Chicago office.
Depending on performance, a full-time role after graduation may be available.

- Learn and Develop Skills: Participate in an engaging internal training program covering various aspects of strategic communications, including mergers and acquisitions, crisis management, shareholder activism, government affairs, corporate profile raising, investor relations, financial communications and more.
- Support Clients: Monitor market-moving news, conduct research, create media lists and support FGS’ account teams as they help a global roster clients navigate strategic communications needs and challenges.
- Collaborate and Create: Team up with fellow interns on a mock new business pitch, developing strategies and presenting ideas for a hypothetical client assignment.
- Rising Senior in undergraduate program
- Eagerness and desire to learn
- Strong writer and editor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Interest in and enthusiasm for business, finance, communications and/or public relations
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills
