Project Engineer
Company Overview:
FH Construction is a South Florida based Commercial General Contractor. We were founded in 2018 by a highly motivated Real Estate Entrepreneur. FH Construction provides Commercial General Contracting, Construction and Design-Build services to real estate owners/investors, developers, asset managers and businesses.
FH Construction’s markets consist of Commercial Interiors, Large Scale Renovations and New Construction. Our project values are between $1M - $30M in total construction cost.
We are looking for motivated and skilled construction talent to join our team. Our goal is to increase our capacity in order to better serve our clients.
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Project Support
- Assist in creation and input Project Schedules (coordinate with Project Manager & Lead Superintendent)
- Receive and Review Shop Drawings and Submittal Packages from Subcontractors
- Manage & Update Project Schedules on a weekly basis
- Assist in Procurement of materials
- Partake in OACs
- Coordinate Project Change Management an assist in creation of PCOs
On Site Project Management
- Review Construction Documents to fully understand project and trade scopes
- Attend on site meetings with Subcontractor Trades as needed to review schedule & scope of work
- Assist in creation of trade specific lists in order to keep job site and job production organized
- Attend site meetings with Owners, Owners Representatives, Architects or Designers as needed
Project Punch Management / Warranty Management
- Assist in creation of punch list items
- Coordination of completion of punch list items
- Assist in Project Warranty Management
*** This position consists 50% in the office and 50% on site ***
Education / Experience
- Bachelors Degree (recommended but not required)
- Min 2 Years Experience working in Construction Environment
Knowledge / Required Skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret business documents, write reports, and communicate within a team environment
- Familiarity with Construction terminology
- Proficiency with Procore Project Management Software
- MS Office to incl Word, Excel, Project, Power point
