We’re looking for an experienced Orientation Coordinator to join our team!
The Orientation Coordinator is responsible for mentoring and onboarding new associates this includes, greeting the new associate as they enter the facility on the first day of work, administering new hire paperwork. Discuss company culture, mission, and values. They will answer any questions the new associate has and continued mentoring through the associate’s orientation phase.
Essential Functions:
Education:
Setting is inside a warehouse, distribution centers which may not be climate controlled, include loud noises, areas below 32 degrees and require extended walking/movement in small areas amidst heavy machinery. Local travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this role, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to use a computer and lift objects up to 30 pounds. Regularly drive a motor vehicle. Extensive walking, reaching, pushing, and pulling.Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person and on a telephone.

The Orientation Coordinator is responsible for mentoring and onboarding new associates this includes, greeting the new associate as they enter the facility on the first day of work, administering new hire paperwork. Discuss company culture, mission, and values. They will answer any questions the new associate has and continued mentoring through the associate’s orientation phase.
Essential Functions:
- Work with Talent Acquisition to facilitate smooth Onboarding
- Daily Live Communication
- Explain they will be their resource to help guide them through the Onboarding and Training Process
- Ensure Workday and Kronos log In and basics are established and working
- Conduct Orientation
- Conduct Site Walk Through (Bathrooms, Exits, Department(s))
- Introduce New Hire to Mentor prior to start
- Ensure New Hire has all necessary tools to start first day
- Ensure Daily Follow Up
- Follow up day two with the associate
- Discuss new hire progress with Mentors and Managers
- Help new hires build relationships
- Transition discussion to how they feel first day, second day, third day etc.
- Discuss in detail one core value each day
- Mentor Liaison role is to ensure the New Hire does not leave for the day without questions answered, or a disengaged.
- Provide feedback to Manager to ensure New Hire feels they are being engaged and getting what they need to be successful
- Training Packet (current training program) Ensure training packet is complete
Education:
- We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuable asset, it is not a strict requirement for success in this role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with experience using spreadsheet applications (Excel) required
- Knowledge of Workday and Kronos
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate work with a variety of people
- Working knowledge of GoToMeeting, Microsoft platform: specifically, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Word.
- Demonstrates inclusive behaviors and recognizes the areas of difference that compromise a diverse working community
- Track record of attracting, engaging, and retaining associates.
- Strong partnering skills with track record of collaborating across multiple dimensions of an organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Promotes proactive solutions for both team and self. Able to work with a high level of independence and autonomy, delivering excellent results predictably.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Mental reasoning capabilities and mature problem-solving skills while managing multiple priorities.
- Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers, management, customers, and vendors.
