Certification Details BLS Job Details Job Summary : First Assist Tech position at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois. Department : OR | First Assist Tech Common Cases : General surgery, Ortho totals and minor cases, ENT, Uro, Gyne, C-sections, and podiatry. Experience : OB experience preferred, with lap / open cases. Previous travel and 2-5 years preferred, will consider strong candidates with less experience. Job Requirements Required Certifications : BLS Experience : OB experience preferred, with lap / open cases. Schedule Information Shifts : 9 or 10 hour shifts that rotate to cover late discharges. Schedule : 4 weeks in advance for 6 weeks, no self scheduling. Weeknight / Call Requirements : Average one week night call. Weekend / Call Requirements : 24 hour call Friday night, Saturday / Sunday every 5th weekend. Holiday / Call Requirements : On call coverage for holidays. Call response time : 20 minutes. Unit Specific Information OR techs : Yes EMR : Meditech Floating Requirements : No Additional Details Scrub Color : Scrubs provided. Department specific orientation : 1-2 weeks with preceptor.
