Affordable Housing Property Manager
We are seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Property Manager for a community of 40 units in New Haven, CT . The Property Manager will be responsible, under the direction of the VP / Regional Manager, for the overall management of site operations and supervision of maintenance of the physical property.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Accounts payable / receivableMaintain tenant files and related documentation in compliance with the HUD programsShow vacant apartments to prospectsAddress resident concerns in a professional mannerHire, train, and supervise site staff and oversee overall maintenance of the propertyConduct unit and property inspectionsHandle the financial operations of the properties, including the budgetKnowledge of Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") rules and regulationsKnowledge of laws and standards that apply to property management, such as Fair Housing Laws, Landlord-Tenant Laws, OSHA Standards, local and state building codesAct as a liaison with private and government agencies, which includes required reporting to ensure complianceWaiting list managementConduct move-in and move-out inspections and complete documentation, ensuring following procedures on security depositsConduct resident / applicant interviews, income verifications, create certifications, and ensure eligibility requirements are followedEIV procedures managementQualifications for this position :
Knowledge of project-based section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programsHigh school education or equivalentMust have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Five years of multi-family residential management experience – minimum three years of affordable housing experienceAbility to work independently, organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize projectsMust have experience in Section 8 voucher submission and EIVExperience with Boston Post, Yardi or similar property management softwareExcellent communication skills; verbal and writtenLIHTC and COS CertificationsBenefits :
