Description:

A receptionist’s responsibilities include a variety of tasks related to maintaining the operations of the office and assisting the staff. This position ensures that the appearance and physical condition of the office satisfies ownership and management requirements.

  • Phone Duties: Answering phones throughout the day, forwarding all phone correspondence to the proper department/employee.
  • Greeter: Greet visitors, vendors, residents and direct them to the proper place or person.
  • Mail: Managing all incoming and outgoing mail to ensure all correspondence is delivered/sent in a timely manner.
  • Inventory: Conducts a complete inventory of office supplies needed by office staff at least once a month. Order any office supplies needed based on the inventory.
  • Emergency Calls: Provides immediate action on any urgent/emergency call by contacting the appropriate department or person.
  • Managing Cleaning Personnel: Monitoring all cleaning that is needed in the office and communicating needs to the cleaning personnel.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate with tenants, vendors, and co-workers to complete assignments.
  • Special Projects: May be required to assist Property Manager in special projects as needed.


Receptionist/Office Assistants are required to be at the front office desk for most of the day. They may also need to be able to lift objects up to 10 pounds.
