Stellantis Software Organization (SWX) was established to build the most captivating experiences in the latest frontier of automotive technology.
Team Leader is a key position within the SWX organization that defines the hardware, software and mechanical solution for next generation products including connected cockpit. The next generation cockpit will be the platform for Stellantis to offer a plethora of content and services to the user. The Team Leader will build the engineering and design workforce and drive efficient delivery of expertise to all the solution teams. The Team Leader would be building, scaling and sustaining high performance work culture in the team. The cockpit will be differentiated by the predictive intelligence, contextual awareness and futuristic human machine interface. This will be brought to life by several high-technology elements including AI, ML, AR, VR, Cloud and embedded technologies. The Team Leader is also expected to be the face of the Stellantis Cockpit team in the respective regions. S/he would be representing the team in local forums, events and panels.
The Team Leader will oversee the following areas:
- Building and scaling teams
- Talent management
- Project support
- Planning and budget management
- People management
Supervisory responsibilities:
- The leader in this role will have multiple levels of reporting.
- Direct reports: 100
- Overall team: 200 comprising of direct and indirect and external teams
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- People management
- Build and retain high performance engineering teams in different geographies
- Create and offer talent pool specialized in different competencies for solution teams
- Set performance objectives and support career growth
- Building teams
- Defining hiring and talent retaining strategies
- Creating targeted hire of specialist talent into the team
- Promote overall pyramidal team structure with a good balance of junior and senior members
Technical management:
- Support architects in driving architectural best practices
- Identify and develop reusable assets for the business unit
- Research new technologies
- Maintain quality and process focus
Project support:
- Promote agile process and drive safe agile implementation in the group
- Monitor progress, load balance the teams
- Triage project escalation meetings
- Direct project activities within the team
Planning and budget management:
- Planning on site strategy
- Reporting on resource productivity
- Managing contracting with external resources
- Driving supply chain on dependencies
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 15 years of experience comprised of a minimum of 10 years of experience in building high technology products along with a minimum of 10 years of people management experience
- Willingness to learn SAFe Agile practices
- Industry expertise in the Connectivity or Cockpit or Cloud solution development in automotive or consumer space
- Very good understanding of engineering processes, especially requirements engineering and development processes
- Strong networking capabilities across Business Units in a multinational environment
- Excellent leadership skills
