Description:
In this position you will be responsible for, and securing essential goods, materials, and services required to meet the operational needs of the company. As the Buyer you will aim to secure these resources by considering elements such as cost, quality, and punctual delivery to uphold a reliable supply chain.
- Responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and procuring materials and services while ensuring they meet cost, quality, and quantity standards.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering open communication and collaboration to resolve issues promptly and ensure mutual satisfaction.
- Serve as a liaison between suppliers and various departments to facilitate purchasing procedures and initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to prevent shortages or overstocking, optimizing inventory turnover.
- Oversee inventory control levels, collaborate with other departments to address inventory concerns, manage vendor returns, and rectify purchase order discrepancies.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- 1 year of recent experience as a buyer in a manufacturing, retail and/or distribution environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
