Description
FGCI, Leading Distributor of Composites materials is seeking a full-time Warehouse / Order Picker in our Ft. Lauderdale location. This position will manage orders from warehouse staff and management, physically pull inventory from shelves to ensure accurate delivery of products.
Responsibilities
- Manage pick ticket orders
- Pulls items from shelves based on number, size, color, quantity and quality requirements
- Ensure orders are accurate
- Stage items safely and correctly for delivery
- Operates handling equipment and ensure safety regulations are followed
- Monitor stock control systems and process specific orders
- Ensure warehouse goals are met
- Maintain a high level and health and safety standards
- Shrink wrap products to pallets
- Load delivery vehicles
- Pack warehouse orders as necessary
- Operate scanners so that proper order is picked and inventory is managed accurately
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a similar warehouse setting preferred
- Keen attention to detail
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours and lift heavy objects
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Self motivated
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well on a team as well as independently
- Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
