Position Overview
This position is responsible for supervising Outside Plant construction and splicing crews; this includes aerial and underground construction.
- Performs pre-construction field walk outs to include understanding OSP Engineering prints, create bill of materials (BOM) for all project types and compare budget to field job cost estimates
- Manage outside vendors during construction, as well as perform quality inspections after work is completed
- Manage invoices to ensure accuracy and ensure specifications are met and materials usage is captured
- Responsible for forecasting material and expenses associated with each project
- Provide regular updates on each project within SiteTracker
- Perform unit price negotiations with contractors when scope of work is outside the norm
- Task Management - prioritizes tasks, makes realistic estimates of time and resource requirements, monitors progress
- Initiative - identifies ways to improve processes/situations, takes responsibility for improvements or solving problems, sets own standards above prevailing standards, show dissatisfaction with substandard or inefficient activities

- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Certification: Must possess a valid driving license and satisfactory driving record
- Experience in Microsoft
- Must have experience in reading and interpreting construction prints
- Project Management skills
