Position Summary
As a Print Press Operator you will set-up the print job, operate the press, perform quality tests and measurements, dispense inks, and maintain the print press to produce printed materials that meet the stringent standards set by our customers.

Basic Qualifications
While performing the duties, an employee is regularly required to talk or hear, walk or sit, stand, climb, use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands or arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Excellent vision is a requirement, to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, color vision and the ability to focus.

Responsibilities
- Work in a quality conscious manner and adhere to Fibertex Personal Care’s high quality standards.
- Perform quality tests and measurements consistently and thoroughly, with attention to detail.
- Assist in production activities associated with machine setup, operation, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and ink dispensing.
- Prepare printing inks, cores, and stage nonwoven for each print job.
- Clean aniloxes and sleeves used in production.
- Use hand scanners and computers to document measurements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving in the production. Participate in ongoing training and development.
- Support Lead Press Operators in maintaining efficiency, by following procedures and working effectively as a team.
- Update incoming Print Press Operators to ensure smooth transition of duties.
- Adhere and comply with hygiene standard: Follow PPE policy and ensure no items enter the production area which may contaminate the product.
- Stage materials and clean work area for incoming shift.
- Inspect raw materials and finished goods, ensuring the materials and product meet standards.
- Ensure all supplies are scanned and returned to proper location.
- Adhere to the recycling guidelines and follow all hazardous waste handling and disposal requirements.
- Always work with a sense of urgency, maximizing time efficiency without compromising performance or quality of work performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area.
- Assess and analyze current practices and drive improvement.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 1 years of consistent work experience for one employer
- 1 years of experience as a machine operator in manufacturing
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Visual acuity and color distinction is pertinent to the job. Color and vision screening will be required.
- Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Reliability and dependability to ensure our product meets stringent quality requirements and specifications set by our customers.
- Consistently adhering to policies and procedures.
- Attention to detail when operating machinery and handling inks and solvents.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in printing, flexographic printing is preferred.
- Basic computer experience; Microsoft Office.
- Ability to measure in the metric system preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in a team environment.
- Willing to work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Able to work overtime, if needed.
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and to work well under pressure.
- Must demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, are required.
- Experience in manufacturing for a fast-paced growth business
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve problems in a demanding, time pressured environment with tight deadlines.
