Production Supervisor

We are searching for a Production Supervisor to join our growing company located in Asheboro, North Carolina. Fibertex Personal Care is a global company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of spunbond/spunmelt nonwoven fabrics for the Personal Care industry, supplying products that are key components in baby diapers and adult incontinence and feminine care products. Through our Innowo Print brand, we possess a unique print technology, which is the core business operation in Asheboro, North Carolina. Position Summary The production Supervisor is a key member of the production supervisory team, which consists of a group of supervisors working collaboratively to ensure maximum production efficiency and quality standards. This role requires seamless coordination with supervisors on opposing shifts to promote alignment and consistency across all operations. The Production Supervisor works cross-functionally with Management, Human Resources, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities Lead and manage the production team, ensuring proper staffing and efficient operations. Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations. Train staff on printing machine operation, nonwoven material handling, ink management, and safety protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and waste. Enforce workplace safety policies, conduct safety checks, and address hazards. Oversee production scheduling using AX Queries and ensure adherence to quality standards. Supervise job setup, changeovers, and preparation of aniloxes, sleeves, and inks. Conduct preventative maintenance planning and assign cleaning tasks. Analyze shift reports to improve team performance and reduce waste. Audit production documents for accuracy and compliance. Manage ink room setup, ink inventory, and consumption tracking. Oversee timekeeping, attendance accuracy, and payroll documentation. Conduct shift meetings to discuss safety, performance updates, and company communications. Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures for raw materials and finished goods. Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate production activities and team development. What You Need To Succeed At Fibertex Personal Care At a minimum, you will need: Experience & Leadership: At least 3 years in a production environment, including 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role within print production. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of flexographic printing operations, including machine components, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve printing, material, or equipment issues to minimize downtime. Production Efficiency: Knowledge of scheduling, workflow optimization, and job changeover processes to maximize productivity. Quality Control & Safety: Understanding of color management, defect identification, and adherence to workplace safety protocols. Analytical Abilities: Capability to assess production data, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements. Communication & Teamwork: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members, management, and cross-functional departments. Technical & Computer Proficiency: Intermediate knowledge of production equipment and ability to use Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Time Management & Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Adaptability & Initiative: Willingness to work flexible shifts, collaborate across teams, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
