Position Overview:
The Junior Buyer will assist with purchasing materials, products, and services to ensure cost efficiency and supplier reliability. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, internal teams, and senior buyers to optimize procurement processes and maintain inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to contribute to the success of procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain vendor management programs to ensure supplier reliability, cost efficiency, and quality control.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on pricing, delivery times, quality, and compliance with company standards.
- Support contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and manage supplier databases.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to onboard new suppliers, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Resolve vendor disputes, discrepancies, and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Work with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, logistics) to ensure seamless vendor coordination.
- Monitor market trends and industry best practices to enhance vendor management strategies.
- Ensure all vendors comply with regulatory requirements and internal procurement policies.
- Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to optimize stock levels and reduce lead times.
- Oversee MRO procurement, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational efficiency.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (entry-level candidates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience with procurement software (SAP, Oracle, etc., is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.

Hours of Operation:
Normal business hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Indoor and outdoor tasks involving walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and operating material handling equipment.
- Exposure to noise, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals, requiring personal protective equipment.
- Some roles require hand-eye coordination and specific vision abilities.
