Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all warehouse systems. This includes troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general equipment. The technician will conduct regular inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure all systems are functioning properly to minimize downtime. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, documentation of maintenance activities, and collaboration with external contractors as needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks across various systems in the warehouse, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work to ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including diagnosing and fixing issues with air handler units, package units, and commercial refrigeration equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems, document monthly, semi-annual, and annual checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance
- Use gauges and tools to verify refrigerant levels and ensure proper operation of HVAC and freezer equipment
- Follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as changing filters, servicing motors, compressors, and belts to extend the lifespan of warehouse equipment
- Coordinate with outside contractors to resolve maintenance issues efficiently and professionally, both in person and via phone or email
- Adhere to company health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using basic computer programs, ensuring timely updates and reporting
- Work independently with minimal supervision, efficiently managing time and resources to minimize disruptions to warehouse operations and production
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance, with expertise in Autoclave systems, HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air systems
- Community college or trade school certification (preferred)
- HVAC Certification (preferred)
- Experience using hand tools, electrical tools, and machinery
- Proficient in operating sit-down forklifts
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge and experience with control systems (e.g., VFDs)
- Excellent customer service skills with an approachable and professional demeanor
- Flexibility and responsiveness, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism and high standards
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Hours of Operation:
- Normal business hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1st Shift) and 4:00PM – 1:00 AM (2nd Shift), Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- A mix of indoor and outdoor activities in varying conditions, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
- Physical demands include walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties.
- Operate material handling equipment safely when required.
- Exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
- Some roles involve working with small parts/components, requiring excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
