Key Responsibilities
- Cut different types of materials using various manual machines such as band saw, planer, table saw, skill saw, and jointer.
- Utilize basic hand tools and mechanical devices as part of the machining process.
- Assist in the bond and glue-up of materials according to Fibreworks Composites’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment safely around the shop.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures in daily tasks.
- Clean and organize stock materials, including tools and tooling, ensuring proper inventory and organization.
- Assist with feeding inventory levels to the Administrator for accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines by ensuring coolant levels are appropriate and using tools like refractometers; clean the work environment, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or team.
- Actively enrolled in a program at NASCAR Technical Institute.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong math, mechanical aptitude, and precision work skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Quick to learn and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Proficient in MS Office; forklift certification a plus
- High attention to detail with a results-driven approach
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, adaptability, and ability to meet deadlines
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

- Operate material handling equipment safely when required.
- Exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
- Some roles involve working with small parts/components, requiring excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
