What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Supervisor position at Fibreworks Composites LLC?
Purpose: Lead Fibreworks Composites to take the next step in quality by developing a more structured and standardized environment. Ensure all parts manufactured within Fibreworks Composites or its sub-contractors meet the fit, form, and function criteria set by the customers and/or engineering standards.
Principal Accountabilities:

Responsible for all functions of the Quality Assurance System
- Quality Manual development and upkeep
- Collaborate with engineering to define QA standards
- Performing calibrations and developing calibration schedule
- Non-conformance and corrective actions
- Internal and external audits
- Continual department improvement plan
- Full compliance of all required internal ERP/MRP processes daily
- Ensure part quality standards are met at all stages of manufacturing according to specifications on internal and/or external engineering drawings
- Inspect parts using PCMM and other standard metrology equipment for weights and measures (calipers, micrometers, depth gauge, gauge pins, Romer arm, etc.) keeping detailed records (weights, checklists, reports, etc.) in an organized and standard fashion
- Educate production and engineering teams on quality control issues to improve overall production quality
- Provide clear and timely communication to customers, vendors, and staff when discussing quality issues such as reporting findings on inspection reports, determining capability, understanding design intent, concessions, non-conformance, etc.
- Train and develop skills of new quality control inspectors
- Create, maintain, and execute a plan for professional development for continuous improvement both personally, professionally, and for the department
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Regular Hours of work: Normal Business Hours 7:00AM – 4:00PM, Mon-Fri; Weekends and Holidays as scheduled by Management.
Job Type: Exempt, Full-time
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma
- Experience: Must have a minimum of two (2) years of industry experience
- Composite Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of composite materials related manufacturing equipment and processes a plus

- Mechanical Skills: Must be able to use specialized tools and machinery when testing products (calipers, micrometers, depth gauge, gauge pins, Romer arm, etc.)
- Technical Skills: Must understand blueprints, technical documents, and manuals, ensuring that products and parts meet quality standards
