What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stamping Maintenance Technician position at FIC America Corp.?
FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Stamping Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair a variety stamping machines and equipment. Assist manager with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining inventories.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform regular checks or tests on manufacturing equipment for proper operation
- Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery and equipment
- Dissemble machinery and equipment and replace defective parts / components
- Reassemble machinery and equipment and make final adjustments
- Confer with Tool & Die Maker to fabricate tooling parts and components as required
- Coordinate with Localization to fabricate tooling parts and components as required
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as grinders, torches, hammers, and wrenches
- Test machines after repair to ensure proper operation
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment routinely
- Order repair parts as needed
- Record and maintain data of checks, tests, repairs, and daily reports
- Work closely with production personnel on equipment repairs
- Complete and satisfactorily pass forklift operator training provided by the company
- Follow standard work instructions
- Perform other duties assigned
Other Job Functions
Pay Range $27 / hour - $33 / hour, based on qualifications and experience
Additional Compensation We operate two shifts and 2nd Shift employees are given a $1 / hour shift differential
