Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our team of ophthalmologists, optometrists and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care. As an Optometrist at our practice, you will perform comprehensive eye exams, manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgery patients, and provide a wide range of eye care services for our diverse patient base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough comprehensive eye exams and vision tests
- Diagnose and manage refractive conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients
- Prescribe corrective lenses and manage contact lens fittings
- Educate patients on eye health, conditions, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with our ophthalmology team to ensure continuity of care
- Provide specialized eye care and treatment plans, including the management of ocular diseases
- Stay current with advancements in optometry and ophthalmology
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- Current state license to practice optometry
- Experience with cataract and refractive surgery patients is a plus
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of ocular disease management
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
