What are the responsibilities and job description for the Allied, Perfusionist position at Fidé?
Fidé is seeking a skilled and dedicated Perfusionist to join our healthcare team for a 13-week contract in Lawrenceville, GA. As a Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in the operating room, providing life-sustaining support during surgeries, particularly those involving the heart, lungs, or other vital organs. You will operate heart-lung machines, administer blood products and medications, and closely monitor the patient’s physiological status during surgery. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes by maintaining circulation and respiratory function during procedures that require cardiopulmonary bypass or extracorporeal circulation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in perfusion, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to patient safety and care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, where you will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
The Staff Perfusionist is responsible for operation of extra-corporal equipment providing care and/ or support activities appropriate for all ages served. Duties include: cardiopulmonary bypass, Auto transfusion, intra-aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion Services.
Minimum Requirements: The following experience is required: 2 years of current Perfusion Tech experience within a hospital setting. NO CANDIDATE LOCATED WITHIN 50 MILES OF THE FACILITY WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE.
REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of perfusion technology;
2. Currently licensed as a Perfusionist in the state of Georgia.
3. Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).
4. BCLS required 5. Knowledge of all phases of perfusion services. Must demonstrate clinical competency in the practice of perfusion, as well as qualities of leadership and sound judgment.
6. Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades.
PREFERRED:
1. Bachelor's degree of Science preferred
2. Three (3) years of recent clinical perfusion experience preferred.
Holiday expectations: MUST work 1 major Holidays of the 2 (Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) AND 1 Minor Holiday: (Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)
Compliance Credentials Needed for Submission:

- Current AHA BLS
- Current Driver’s License
- EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
- COVID Vaccination Card (preferred but not required)
