Exciting 13 Week Contract Opportunity - Critical Care Nurses in the CVICU!
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Work Schedule:
- Shift options: 3x12s (Days/Nights Available)
- Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 3 weeks
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiac Critical Care
- IN RN License (or compact)
- Current AHA ACLS
- Current AHA BLS
- Current NIHSS certification
- Strong cardiac experience
- Experience with open-heart surgery patients - preferred

We are seeking compassionate and skilled nurses to provide direct care in CVICU, where you’ll play a vital role in managing and coordinating the care of patients in a high-acuity environment.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor personalized patient care plans.
- Continuously monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions with the healthcare team.
- Serve as a primary coordinator, ensuring all disciplines work together for well-coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Follow through with physician and nursing orders, ensuring timely execution.
- Collaborate with the team to assess and plan for patient discharge, addressing any needs to ensure smooth transitions.
Complexity of Work: This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, often high-stress environment. You’ll be empowered to make impactful decisions that directly affect patient outcomes.
Float: May float to all units within the clinical scope and Ascension hospital as needed.
