Job Title: Med-Surg RN – 13 Week Contract (Nights, 3x12)
Location: Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, LA
Unit: Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg, 7A Floor, Main Tower
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 Hour Shifts)
Number of Beds: 36

Required Skills and Experience:
- Must have 2 years of current Med-Surg nursing experience
- Active LA RN license or compact
- AHA ACLS and AHA BLS certifications
- Experience with wound care (including wound vac changes)
- Insertion of IVs and indwelling Foley catheters
- Ability to work with a variety of equipment, including telemetry and PCA pumps
We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Alexandria, LA.
This position will be working on the Trauma/Ortho unit, providing care to patients with a wide range of medical needs.
The ideal candidate will have Med-Surg experience, a strong ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, and be a team player with excellent critical thinking skills.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 36
- IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, chest tubes, telemetry, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and epidurals.
- Typical Procedures Performed; Wound vac changes, Wound care, IV insertions, Insertion of indwelling Foley catheters
