Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, demonstrate clinical expertise, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and overall health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide care for patients undergoing various medical and surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, post-operative care, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infections during procedures.
- Assist with tube feeding, infant care, dementia care, and other specialized nursing tasks as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.

Minimum Requirements:
- Current 2 years of current RN Med Surg/Telemetry experience
- Current IA RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
- Additional Certifications may be required
- Skills Checklist from within the past 12 months
- Drivers License
- EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
- Final RTO or any scheduling requests
- Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
Shift: Days Days; 12 hr shifts - 36 hrs/week - Days
Travel Hourly Pay: $25.77
Travel Stipend: $1246.00
Travel Weekly Package: $2173.75
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in medical/surgical nursing is preferred; additional experience in OR or emergency medicine is a plus.
- Familiarity with assisted living, memory care, occupational health, and vital signs monitoring is desirable.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on empathy and support for patients' families.
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings as per facility policies.
