Summary
Operating Room Nurses are professionals who are responsible for taking care of patients throughout the process of a surgery or medical procedure. They ensure patients are recovering or prepared by providing information on the outcomes or potential outcomes of a procedure.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for use.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Submission Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience - Required
- Circulating experience - Required
- Must be able to work some of the holidays while on assignment
- Recent traveler experience - highly preferred
- No special scheduling requirements - Required
