We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of instruments.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records accurately, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Utilize Eaglesoft or similar dental software for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical coding and dental terminology is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to general dentistry practices.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management systems.
- Ability to manage medical records efficiently while ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Certification in X-Ray technology is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
