Fiddleheads Cafe is a local cafe known for delicious and creative scratch-made breakfast and lunch offerings. Our baker oversees the daily production muffins, scones, doughnuts, quick breads, quiches and cookies, brownies and bars. This position works in tandem with the other cooks in our small-but-mighty kitchen, where we are all part of a cohesive team delivering the high-quality food and warm, welcoming customer service we have become known for.
There is lots of room for creativity and development of skills: the kitchen at Fiddleheads thrives on new ideas and global inspiration in our cooking. We do require a minimum of one year of professional cooking experience and a devotion to good food. This position requires the ability to work cleanly and efficiently in a busy kitchen, and a working knowledge of safe food handling practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and baked goods according to established recipes.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and fulfilling special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
