Job Description
The Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for implementing and managing comprehensive preventative maintenance and service programs for all golf course maintenance equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: preventative maintenance, training on the use of equipment, performing general maintenance duties for the golf course.
General Duties:
-Trains all assigned full time, part time, and seasonal employees on proper use of equipment in accordance with equipment manufacturers guidelines.
-Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects in all golf course equipment.
-Disassembles motors and performs general overhauling for both preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
-Machining or welding work in making fittings used in golf course equipment.
-Grinds reels, bed knives, and ensures reels are adjusted correctly.
-Maintains a complete and comprehensive set of records for all equipment and parts inventory, purchases of parts and supplies, equipment conditions, costs of repairs and preventative maintenance.
-Plows snow and salts all sidewalks and parking lots as needed.
-Spot-checks equipment for satisfactory performance in the field.
-Operates a skid steer to perform grading, hauling, loading, and digging duties.
-May be required to perform duties of general golf course laborer as required.

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
