Summary of Responsibilities :
The Assistant Golf Professional will maintain a warm, friendly environment creating a world class golf experience. Enhancing lives of Members and Guests with “WOW” moments they can’t live without.
Essential Functions :
- Promote the game of golf by teaching and playing with Members of all levels
- Oversee all golf operations in the absence of the Director of Golf / Head Pro
- Delegate tasks and duties to Golf Staff
- Ensure quality and consistency is maintained for Club events and golf outings; specifically the Fiddler’s Invitational
- Assist with new Member orientation and integration
- Exhibit strong organization skills
- Be visible to Members and Guests at arrival areas, on the courses when monitoring play and at the departure areas
- Assist with ordering, receiving, upkeep and end of season returns of all hard-good related inventor; clubs, demo / fitting clubs, balls and gloves
- Create a bi-weekly schedule (month in advance) for other assistants and golf shop staff based on provided budgets
- Meet with Director of Golf to evaluate payroll and budget; possess ability to provide reasons for variance on a bi-weekly basis
- Oversee the reservation system; use of Member status and appropriate billing
- Assist with the determination for the Buy Plan
- Develop a labor budget by November 1st
- Assist with the recruitment and hiring of seasonal assistants and interns
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Golf
