We are looking for a Food Runner to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.
Food Runners are responsible for ensuring the orders coming from the kitchen match the ticket order and quality standards, are delivering to the correct Member table and that the Member has everything they need for an enjoyable experience in our Restaurants.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in calling orders to line staff in an organized, well-thought-out manner
- Ensure all orders leaving kitchen meet presentation and Guest standards
- Know menu items and be able to explain the main ingredients and preparation methods if needed
- Possess ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Observe safety procedures during execution of assigned duties
- Observe restaurant policies regarding uniform, hygiene and grooming
- Maintain neat and clean work station during service
- Perform all necessary side work; polishing glassware, silverware, restocking, etc.
- Keep wait staff informed and up to date with kitchen wait times and any product shortage
- Assist transportation of food trays to dining room
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Required Education:
- High School Graduate
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our Members and Guests
- Must be able to work days/nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Prior service industry experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions
- Ability to lift and carry large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room
- Ability to use both arms and hands
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
Safety Hazards:
- General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas
- Lifting of heavy objects such as kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc.,
- Handling of sharp objects such as flatware
