We are looking for a Cove Activities Attendant to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.
The Cove Activity Attendant supports the Activity Coordinator in organizing, preparing, and executing recreational, social, and educational activities for participants. This role ensures that events are set up properly, participants are engaged, and the activities run smoothly. Activity Assistants play a crucial role in creating an enjoyable, safe, and supportive environment for individuals while visiting the Cove. The Pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Essential Functions:
- Actively monitor children to ensure they are safe, engaged, and participating in appropriate activities.
- Observe children’s behavior and intervene when necessary to resolve conflicts or address disruptive actions.
- Help the Activities Coordinator Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, music, and outdoor play to keep children entertained and mentally stimulated.
- Assist participants with any needs or challenges during the activities, providing individual support when required.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and nurturing environment, ensuring children feel secure and valued.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, following all rules and safety guidelines/protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Clean up after activities, meals, and other child-centered tasks to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Monitor children during outdoor play, ensuring they are using playground equipment properly and safely.
- Gently correct children if they are engaging in unsafe or inappropriate behavior and explain the importance of following the rules.
- Assist other team members when necessary to ensure a smooth flow of activities and support the overall goals of the activity program.
- Engage with Members and Guests during their experience at the Cove or during Event Series such as Kidz Fidz.
