We are looking for a Pool Supervisor to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.
This role is responsible for ensuring Members and Guests enjoy a pleasurable experience while dining, participating in actives and/or simply utilizing the pool. This role will oversee staff in pool operations. The Pool Supervisor is a Seasonal position with a preferred start date of May 12th and extending through Labor Day weekend.
Essential Functions:
- Promotes a positive work environment through effective communication and creating a warm and engaging atmosphere.

Oversees staff from the Cove, Front Desk, Towel attendants and F&B operation
- Schedules all staff in a timely manner
- Trains staff on Club policies, procedures and standards of service and documents said training
- Provide feedback on staff performance

Greet Members and Guests immediately upon arrival
- Engages with Members and Guests
- Promotes upcoming events
- Handles and resolves customer complaints regarding quality of service, facility concerns, etc,
- Present during obligatory during high volume days at pool; required to work evenings and weekends.

Ensures scheduled programming is updated and communicated appropriately to ensure Members & Guests are aware of what is being offered and when

Ensures appearance and cleanliness standards are met in all areas of the operation
- Bathrooms, Cove, Pools, Dining areas, etc.
- Communicates needs with housekeeping staff
- Ensure staff members are in proper uniform/attire prior to shift

Assign stations and side work to staff in accordance with procedures
- Ensure all side work is accomplished according to schedule
- Conduct pre-shift meetings

Ensure compliance with all departmental and Club policies and procedures
- Understand and exude the WOW culture

Communicate with staff any changes, announcements, etc.

- Ensure that all areas of the Pool are secure at the end of the business day
- Maintain an inventory of respective cups, silverware, coffee, water pitchers, games, activity equipment, etc.
- Monitor labor budget; adjusts as necessary to achieve financial goals
- Is alert for and attempts to resolve any potential safety problems or accidents in the pool area
- Assists in the development and updating of policy and procedure manuals for service personnel to increase quality of service
- Assists in service and table side as needed
- Attends scheduled staff meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Education/Experience:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Previous Country Club / Pool operation experience preferred (Minimum 1-2 years)
- Previous Supervisory experience (Minimum 2 years)
- Previous experience working in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication and motivational abilities
- Point of Sale Operating System (Club Essentials preferred)
Required Qualifications/Physical Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must speak the predominant language of our Members and Guests
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work days/nights, weekends and holidays; flexibility due to nature of Club business
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
- Outdoor weather conditions may include; extreme heat and/or humidity, rain, storms, snow and other conditions
- Must be able to work day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays.
Safety Hazards:
- General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas
- Lifting of heavy objects such as kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc.,
