We are looking for a Range Attendant to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.
The Range Attendant is responsible for overseeing setup, daily service, stocking and upkeep, and breakdown of all driving ranges/golf practice facilities on property.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee setup, daily service and upkeep, and breakdown of all driving ranges/golf practice facilities and putting greens
- Setup practice range daily, including practice balls, bag stands, range furniture and signage, and moving ropes that identify proper hitting areas
- Operate range vehicle and ball picker on range to retrieve balls
- Wash range balls daily
- Retrieve golf balls, refill range supplies, and maintain neat and orderly appearance at all practice areas throughout the day
- Brings golf cars from car shelter to car staging area outside Golf Pro Shop; checks golf cars for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations
- Occasionally walk perimeter of practice range to retrieve balls that have entered high grass/wooded areas surrounding the range
- Loads bags from bag storage room onto golf cars
- Removes bags from golf cars and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room
- Returns golf cars to car shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc. from golf cars and saves reusable items; checks cars for damage; washes golf car with pressure cleaner; parks car in shelter and connects charger cable
- Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club's rental equipment
- Maintains cleanliness of and order in Bag Storage Room
- Monitor parking areas to ensure proper security standards are being met

Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
- Must be friendly, tactful, courteous and possess excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
- Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests
- Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up 30 pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds
- Ability to handle many tasks at once
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift to perform job functions
- Must be able to safely and efficiently operate cars and golf carts
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Working Conditions:
