Varsity Football Head Coach

Fideles Christian School is a private Christian school dedicated to fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth. Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated High School Football Coach to lead our football program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the game of football, solid coaching experience, and a commitment to building young athletes not only as football players but as individuals of integrity. The coach will be responsible for developing the team, providing guidance, and instilling a positive, competitive, and faith-driven culture in the program.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the high school football team, including coaching practices, games, and off-season training.

- Develop and implement practice schedules, drills, and game strategies that enhance players’ skills, understanding of the game, and teamwork.

- Foster an environment of discipline, respect, and sportsmanship, rooted in Christian values.

- Actively mentor and motivate student-athletes, emphasizing character development, hard work, and commitment.

- Collaborate with athletic staff, school administration, and parents to ensure the program’s success and maintain clear communication.

- Assist with recruiting new players and maintaining team participation.

- Work closely with the athletic director to ensure the program’s goals align with the school’s mission and values.

- Support the spiritual growth of the team by incorporating faith into practices and team activities, including prayers and devotions.

Qualifications

- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, preferably in football.

- Strong knowledge of football strategy, game rules, and player development.

- Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and lead student-athletes.

- A strong commitment to faith and to integrating Christian values into coaching.

- Ability to maintain a positive relationship with students, parents, faculty, and school administration.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for practices, games, and events.

- Must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification (we will provide certification).

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in education, sports management, or a related field.

- Experience in coaching or coordinating multiple levels of a football program.

- A commitment to building leadership qualities and moral character in young athletes.
