Job Title: Foundry Plant Operation Manager
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Salaried - Exempt
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes – Department Leader
Position Summary:
The Foundry Plant Operation Manager will oversee daily foundry processes as well as supervise foremen and union hourly employees while pursuing continuous improvement in areas such as scrap reduction and productivity increases while minimizing cost.
Essential functions include but not limited to:
- To lead quality practices and procedures to ensure conformance to defined specifications along with continuous improvements in costs, housekeeping, and customer satisfaction.
- To be a leader in safety, quality, teamwork, and team development.
- Ensure compliance with government, corporate and equipment supplier safety rules and regulations and best management practices.
- Participates in the Safety Committee and advises team of safety standards, conduct and corrective action.
- Proactively identifies and takes action to prevent potential safety hazards
- Take immediate corrective action when unsafe conditions or practices are identified.
- Ensures maintenance of manufacturing work environment aligned with 5S and an accident-free work environment.
- Directs subordinates to effectively meet production standards and goals in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
- Actively engages the production team in process, safety, and quality continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure daily that job planning, materials and equipment are ready at the start of each production shift
- Accurately completes necessary production records and reports on a timely basis.
- Leads continuous improvement in process throughput, scrap reduction, delivery to customer commitment, and cost reduction.
Knowledge/ Skills /Experience:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Management, or similar field
- Minimum of five years of work experience leading and developing a team.
- Minimum of five years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a foundry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office Products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and Internal Audits.
- Demonstrated strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year plus discretionary bonus.

Schedule: 8-hour shift. Monday through Friday. Hours subject to change based on business needs.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
