This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Computer Science, or other closely related field
• Experience in sales or customer service
• Experience in creating or revising guidelines, policies and procedures
• Community service experience
• Leadership experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to read financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents
• Ability to build external and internal relationships
• Ability to work proactively, independently and in team setting with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
  
  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the Commercial Lending internship gaining valuable on-the-job training
• Work with assigned mentors to gain experience and first-hand knowledge of the Commercial Lending department
• Actively engage in sales calls with assigned mentors
• Gather financial information, including tax returns and financial statements, to be used in the loan qualification process
• Assemble financial packets for borrowers and assist with loan closings
• Assist with a review of policies and procedures from each department
• Assist with creating a Commercial Lending policies and procedures manual to include policies and procedures from each department
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your career and build internal and external relationships
• Participate in community building activities with managers
• Adhere to guidelines of trainee program
• Complete a thorough evaluation of the department at the internship completion
• Consistently exemplifies our Core Values of Integrity, Community, Dependability, Excellence, Longevity, and Accountability
• Complies with regulatory rules and regulations evidenced through successful completion of training and demonstrated ability
• Performs other duties and/or special projects as appointed by management
• Physical Requirements: primarily sitting with some standing, walking, lifting and bending
