Position Summary:
The Lending Services Specialist 3 is responsible for performing administrative duties required to ensure the efficient operations of the Commercial Lending and Business Banking Departments. Providing department staff support in addition to the processing and handling of any functions related to loan activities. Providing additional support to Market President as needed.
This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position may be filled at a lower or higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:
- GED or High School Diploma
- 8 years of experience assisting lenders in commercial real estate loans, lines of credit, asset –based lending, construction loans
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:
- Knowledge/experience with: Laser Pro, Decision Pro, Lawyer Pro Software and nCino
- Knowledge of commercial loan documentation to include SBA, Real Estate, A/R Stock, Letters of Credit, UCC, PSM etc.
- Regulatory knowledge of Regulation B, Regulation Z, RESPA, HMDA, TRID, and flood regulations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce and review required loan documentation such as ordering appraisals, environmental reports, title policies, insurance policies, flood determinations, UCC searches and any other documentation associated with collateral perfection for Commercial and Business loans
- Collaborate with customers, attorneys, title companies and relationship managers to facilitate loan closings including preparation of engagement letters, funding of loan proceeds and scanning and indexing files
- Assist relationship managers by clearing loan exceptions, monitoring past due reports, gathering financial information pursuant to loan covenants, and providing any like support at the discretion of the Relationship Managers or Lending Services Manager
- Perform general maintenance required to satisfy customer’s requests such as processing fund transfers, wires, loan advances, payment requests, generating copies of statements and other deposit and loan documents
- Monitor the daily overdraft report and communicate which items are paid or returned by established deadline
- Effectively communicate and work with Commercial & Business lenders to fulfill and facilitate the bank’s loan documents
- Work in Decision Pro and nCino to export loan data to Laser Pro for loan documentation preparation
- Make the final determination that the loan file is sufficiently documented, and all closing conditions are met to set an application as clear to close
- Request, review, and prepare timely and accurate closing disclosures when applicable
- Receive, review, and approve related insurance coverages and title work applicable to each loan application
- Perform quality assurance reviews on all loan documentation for accuracy prior to releasing documents
- Engage with Commercial and Business lenders and/or outside counsel to resolve exceptions
- Order general office supplies for department

- Perform other duties and/or special projects as appointed by management
