Fidelity Energy and Sustainability, part of the Fidelity Building Services Group family , is seeking a dynamic, technically skilled Energy Consultant to join our team in the Maryland / DC area. This role combines engineering expertise with a consultative sales approach to deliver customized energy solutions that drive value for our clients.

What you'll do :

Leverage your technical knowledge to identify and develop energy-saving opportunities in building systems, including HVAC, building controls, lighting, solar power, battery storage, chillers, boilers, and industrial processes.
Craft and present tailored solutions for energy efficiency improvements, decarbonization and electrification strategies, and overall facility performance enhancement.
Utilize your knowledge of incentive and rebate programs, as well as utility tariffs, to optimize return on investment and overall financial benefits of the energy projects.
Consult with clients for the development of energy audits, feasibility studies, and retro-commissioning engagements that lead to actionable recommendations.
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
Collaborate with internal engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Drive consultative, solution-based sales to achieve or exceed performance targets.

What you'll bring to the table :

A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred).

5-10 years of experience in energy engineering, consulting, or energy services sales.

In-depth knowledge of building energy systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, automation and controls, distributed generation, renewable energy, and performance analytics.

Familiarity with regional utility energy efficiency programs, tariffs, and rate structures.

Expertise in system design, energy auditing, and retro-commissioning (a plus).

Proven success in consultative, solution-oriented sales and project development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Competitive Salary : Base Pay - $100k to $150k - Commensurate with experience. This range represents a general guideline; however, several factors are considered when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. We offer a compensation package that reflects your skills and experience. This role is eligible for variable compensation, including performance-based bonuses.
