Automotive Bookkeeper :
Our new car dealership in Morris County has been family owned since 1965. We have a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper on our Accounting team. The right person must be prepared to become our Controller's right-hand person in everything we do both internally & for our valued customers. In addition to providing sales and service departments' accounting assistance, you must also accurately record & maintain the controls necessary for the proper financial operation maintenance of the business. You would join an internal Accounting Dept of 4 individuals who do a fantastic job as team players within a fast-moving environment. A working background in accounting functions to assist operations & financial reporting is preferred, but not mandatory. We would teach the right motivated Bookkeeper addition, to our strong team.
Other responsibilities :
- Interpret, record & process all auto business accounting activity.
- Keep the Controller informed about everything (they will be your best friend) & monitor the accounting needs of the business
- Maintain and improve all processes / procedures for the Accounting team.
- Assist in day-to-day bookkeeping operations of the store to ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with dealership accounting processes & policies.
- Manage and safeguard the internal controls that are in place.
