Develops advanced dashboards and analysis solutions, using SQL, Tableau, and Power BI. Queries relational and Cloud databases, and assists in data migration. Builds report automation, and efficient work processes within the team. Enhances and maintains database infrastructure that is critical to daily reporting and analytics -- troubleshoots SQL Database and SQL Server issues, performs access management, data security, and queries performance tuning. Supports the migration of SQL server database to Snowflake. Develops automated and standardized data sets and creates visualizations to answer strategic business questions. Delivers in-depth analyses and value-added business intelligence and analytic insights.
Primary Responsibilities:
Drives key analysis of data when researching solutions for reporting needs and analytical support that results in delivery of innovative solutions.
Develops solutions to complex business needs using automation and self-service design.
Develops management reporting and analysis, and visualizations using BI tools and Excel -- scorecards, KPIs, PowerPoint presentations, and ad-hoc analysis requests.
Provides technical assistance to team members within the reporting organization.
Assists with the production and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables.
Delivers insights by leading data analytics using SQL and BI tools, and packages and communicates complex data in a simple, clear, and actionable way.
Collaborates with others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions.
Fosters and champions innovative technology solutions to resolve complex business problems.
Works in a fast-paced environment delivering both tactical and strategic technology solutions.
Establishes and project manages analysis plans for multiple complex work steams.
Holds accountability for integration into larger, multi-disciplined projects, as appropriate.
Elicits, captures, and interprets customer problems from multiple perspectives across projects or within a program.
Mentors junior team members.
Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
Establishes full project life cycle plans for one or more complex projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) querying relational databases or Cloud environments using SQL and developing BI Solutions using Tableau, Snowflake, and PowerBI.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) querying relational databases or Cloud environments using SQL and developing BI Solutions using Tableau, Snowflake, and Power BI.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in the entire data life cycle -- performing data analysis, mapping, acquisition (using SQL queries), impact analysis, data transformation and distribution (using SQL) within a financial services domain.
DE developing reporting and dashboard solutions to define and track KPI and performance metrics, using BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and SAP Business Intelligence) to design trending, and benchmarking data visualizations; and performing data extraction, transformation, and loading, using SQL.
DE conducting product lifecycle management: analyzing, planning, designing, developing, testing, deploying, migrating, supporting, and documenting Business Intelligence (BI) solutions according to Agile Methodologies(using JIRA, ServiceNow, BitBucket, Sharepoint and Confluence).
DE performing data analytics in a Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle environment, using SQL, Tableau, and PowerBI; and packaging and presenting data analysis findings to senior executives, using Tableau Stories and Microsoft Power Point.
