The Role
The Regional Investment Consultant is responsible for proactively marketing, attracting and maintaining new handled account assets through various Fidelity Managed Account XchangeSM (FMAX) programs and effectively supporting our intermediary clients (Broker/Dealers, Banks, RIAs, and Family Offices) and external wholesalers in an assigned region. This role will provide led account platform expertise while driving platform adoption, education and run accounts sales.

As fee-based advisory services become the dominate financial services business model Fidelity Institutional is expanding our offering suite and launching a dedicated Investment Advisor and managed account offering to support the needs of our intermediary clients (Banks, Broker/Dealers, RIAs, and Family Offices). The Regional Investment Consultant role reports into the Managed Accounts Advisory Sales Desk which mission is to promote the adoption of our managed account offerings across our intermediary customer base. The FMAX internal sales desk will provide centralized platform consulting and sales support to participating intermediaries. This desk will provide single point of contact support via dedicated 800 number during operating hours to all intermediaries using our managed account platform offering. The role is fundamental to the success of our advisory platform offering and will work closely with our field-based resources and investment consulting associates in supporting intermediary sales.
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 6 - 10 years advisory wealth management practice/sales required
- Advisory platform sales experience preferred
- Series 7, 63, 65/66 required
- MBA, CFP a plus
- Financial intermediary channel experience preferred (RIAs, Banks, and Broker/Dealers)
- You drive product sales by working in coordination with external wholesaler to develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing financial professionals of our Banks, Broker/Dealers, RIAs, and Family Offices. You deliver value to our customers by effectively sharing your subject matter expertise and standard process guidance on the entire suite of advisory platform capabilities (including integrations with key advisory workflows, deep knowledge of advisory programs, and investment product offerings). You are motivated by success as measured by platform adoption statistics (proposal volume, platform sales, successful introduction of various platform offerings). You diligently maintain highest level of compliance to all regulatory, business and compliance policies.
- You are passionate about wealth management and advisory solutions and are obsessed with delivering superior client experience to our financial intermediary client base. You are knowledgeable on the breadth of investment capabilities, programs, and supporting tools and services available through the platform. You have excellent presentation skills, an affinity for sharing your knowledge on advisory solutions, industry standard methodologies, and representing the full suite of Fidelity’s advisory platform capabilities.
- You have the expertise, confidence and skill to assist intermediary clients in applying the managed account platform to deliver impactful solutions for their clients and to increase the efficiency of their practice. You are self-starter, independently oriented and thrive working in fast pace, customer focused environment which requires adaptability attitude
