Controller
Fast growing manufacturing company is in search of a self-directed and experienced Controller to oversee all financial, accounting and human resources activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Key areas within the human resources department will also be managed by the Controller, including policy and procedure compliance and ongoing maintenance of HR practices. Position Summary
The Controller will plan and direct the accounting and human resources operations of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Files quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Five or more years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- High level of proficiency with ERP Systems

Supervisory Responsibility
- This position is responsible for managing the accounting and human resources departments.
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
Equipment/Machinery Used
Computer, copier, phone systems and other office equipment.
Working Condition
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as
computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Work environment is an office atmosphere. Work
could also involve some outside exposure. May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over
OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels). Safety training is provided in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and
company policy. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at
times.
