1.General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Knowledgeable and skillful in preparing and assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Procedures performed include but not limited to: EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy
Administration of and monitoring patients receiving moderate sedation
2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Olympus Scopes and video system
Medication System - Pyxis
Electronic Health Record - EPIC
3.Required skills and minimum years of experience.

4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc.)
BLS required, ACLS recommended

typically, 8-hour shifts; M-F (shift to be determined at time of request), Rotating call weeknights, weekends and holiday coverage
Call is currently shared among 4 RNs

No floating required

4 Procedure rooms, 3 bed recovery
8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
Inpatient and Outpatient procedures performed with an average daily number of procedures 12

Any color of scrubs
