Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays
Period of Performance: Base Year plus Four (4) Option Years
Work from Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Provide Radiologic Technologist services, professional in nature, in a method commensurate with the local community and in accordance with Joint Commission (JC) standards and Bureau of Prison (BOP) policy; maintenance of Radiologic Technologist services performed on the machines, daily maintenance of equipment, perform Radiologic Technologist as ordered by providers in given timeframes.
Must be Certified as a Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
Copies of all certifications and resumes must be forwarded with your application.
The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing.
Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by the medical staff.
Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs.
Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary for a proper quality diagnostic exam.
Work with the Clinical Director to ensure monitoring and evaluation activities are completed.
Act as liaison between radiologist and medical staff.
Receive any required training and orientation and comply with correctional techniques pertaining to medical services.
Develop a working knowledge of FCI Herlong medical protocols.
Complete all x-ray studies ordered by the medical staff.
Assist the staff with maintenance of equipment and supplies and notify staff when supplies are needed.
Conduct quality assurance tests and daily maintenance on x-ray equipment as needed.
Assist with FDA inspections and preparation for Joint Commission and program review as needed.
Computerize patient logs and repeat analysis.
